In 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) expanded the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) initiative to the Medicaid Program.   According to this new regulation:

"States are required to establish programs to contract with one or more Medicaid RACs for the purpose of identifying underpayments and recouping overpayments"

As the Medicaid RAC program starts to take shape in 2011, healthcare providers can begin taking measures to fully understand the impact of this program and start preparing for Medicaid RAC audits.

Join us for our next installment in our educational webinar series featuring MIC and Medicaid RAC expert, Sara Kay Wheeler of King & Spalding LLP. In this webinar, Sara Kay will provide an overview of the Medicaid RAC program including recent developments.

Additionally, her presentation will offer practical suggestions and techniques for minimizing the risk of revenue loss as you prepare for Medicaid RAC audits and formulate your appeal strategy.
