In regulated industries facing increasing demands for governance and transparency, all roads converge at Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Expectations continue to grow for more effective enterprise-wide risk oversight by the board of directors, who in turn are placing greater pressures on senior executives to design and implement effective enterprise-wide risk management processes. Effective ERM processes bring together existing GRC functions including regulatory compliance, internal audit, incident management, and others through coordination and integration in order to ensure management and the board are addressing the organization’s most significant risk exposures. Organizations with a strong risk management program are more likely to preserve and grow shareholder value by navigating the complex portfolio of risks that might impact the achievement of strategic objectives.

Join us for this session with Dr. Mark Beasley, in which he’ll examine the following:

  • Overview of the current state of enterprise risk management - best and worst practices
  • External drivers and trends that necessitate increased engagement of the board and executives in the oversight of risk
