California Department of Managed Health Care Chooses the Compliance
360 Solution
Atlanta, GA. – December 4, 2007 – Compliance 360, a
provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management software,
today
announced the California’s Department of Managed Health Care
(DMHC) selected the Compliance 360 solution to streamline, automate,
and manage certain health plan survey processes.
The California DMHC regulates managed care plans in California and
is responsible for conducting audits of consumer rights and protecting
the financial stability of all health plans in California. Compliance
360 was obtained by the DMHC to help them more efficiently manage
the Plan Surveys and Financial Oversight processes. Through the use
of the Compliance 360 solution, DMHC will have the ability to streamline
communication with the health plans, simplify the collection of compliance
data, organize all the evidence of compliance and link this documentation
to the pertinent state regulations.
By using Compliance 360’s software, external auditors and
surveyors will be able to access and review compliance documentation
through a read-only, electronic virtual evidence room. With this
technology solution to complete certain audit functions, the professional
survey staff will be better able to devote resources to its on-site
review of each health plan’s processes.
